The Radnor Police are investigating a Bitcoin scam involving a letter sent to a resident via USPS. The letter was addressed to an individual and informed that person that they were being privately investigated. The letter threatened to release sensitive information to this persons spouse should they not comply with an $8200 Bitcoin demand. The letter was post marked from Nashville, TN. These letters are common scams where people threaten extortion in exchange for Bitcoin. Residents are reminded to never respond or send money to these letters or emails.
