Board Members
The Historic and Architectural Review Board (HARB) consists of five (5) registered electors who shall serve at the discretion of the Board of Commissioners, preferably including the following: one (1) registered architect or engineer; one (1) licensed real estate broker; and one (1) person with technical knowledge in the building codes and construction industry. The remaining two (2) members shall have knowledge and interest in the preservation of historic districts. The term of office shall be five (5) years.

Duties
The Historic and Architectural Review Board (HARB) was created to protect and enhance the North Wayne Historic District for the educational, cultural, economic, and general welfare of the public through preservation, protection, and regulation of buildings of historic interest or importance within the district, and to safeguard elements of architectural history throughout the district which have been determined to be of historic significance. Under provisions of the Historic District ordinance, the HARB serves to review applications for the construction, addition or demolition of any principal building, or any additions or accessory buildings.
