Effective January 1, 2021, the Amusement Tax was repealed by Ordinance No. 2020-05.
Prior to 2021, Radnor Township levied an annual Amusement Tax on the privilege of engaging in an amusement in Radnor. The tax is equal to 10% of eligible admission prices to certain places of amusement, entertainment, or recreation. Under state law, some places of amusement are exempt from this tax - such as certain movie theaters, campgrounds, and health clubs. Amusement Tax reports are due on or before the 10th of each month.
Amusement Device Tax
The township also levies an annual Amusement Device Tax of $150 for owners of coin-operated machines providing amusement, such as jukeboxes, pinball machines, video games, and pool tables. Amusement Device taxes are required to be filed with the Township's Finance Department by January 31 each year.
