The Public Works Department provides rear yard trash and recycling collection service for an annual fee. The current fee for rear yard collection service is $500 per property and the annual service period occurs between February 1 of the current year to January 31 of the following year

After the application and payment are received by the township, rear collection service will begin with the next regularly scheduled pick up.

In accordance with Resolution Number 2010-34, all fees are non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation

Exemptions

An exemption from the annual fee may be granted if the property owner qualifies under certain guidelines.

A waiver and/or affidavit must be filled out, in some cases signed by a physician and submitted to the Township in order for an exemption to be granted.

Guidelines for exemption and application can be obtained at the Wayne Senior Center, at the Township Municipal Building (301 Iven Avenue, Wayne 19087) or online on the Exemption Affidavit/Disability Waiver Packet.

The completed packet must be mailed to the Township for review. Once granted, rear yard trash will begin with the next regularly scheduled trash pick up.
